Insurance Claims

What is a claim?
An insurance claim is the actual application for benefits provided by an insurance company. If you’ve suffered a loss, you must first file an insurance claim before any money can be disbursed. The insurance company may or may not approve the claim, based on their own assessment of the circumstances.
Filing A Claim
When you file your insurance claim with Beissel & Cobb Insurance, we investigate the specific details of the insurance claim and negotiating the payment from your insurers. Depending on the claim type and amount of damage, you may not want to file an actual insurance claim, especially if the damage is minor or another party has agreed to pay out-of-pocket for their mistake. If you’ve suffered a loss, CALL US IMMEDIATELY and we’ll walk you through the process.
After your claim is filed, the insurance company may send out an investigator, called an adjustor or appraiser, whose job is to objectively evaluate your claim and determine if the estimates for restitution are reasonable. This helps insurance companies control costs, and prevent any possible fraud by contractors who may inflate their repair bills for additional compensation.
Sometimes insurance claims are not recognized by the insurance company, for any number of reasons. That’s where we really earn our value with you. We can help! If you are a current Beissel & Cobb Insurance client, we’ve made getting an Insurance Certificate easy! Complete an insurance request online by clicking on Request a Certificate. Then answer a few simple questions. Once we receive your request we will immediately process it. We will phone you during regular business hours (Monday through Friday) to confirm receipt of your request.
